POSSESSED Seven Churches LP Combat press Venom Slayer

You are bidding on an original, 10 track U.S. pressing of a Possessed “Seven Churches” vinyl LP on the Combat Records label from 1985. Item number MX 8024. The U.S. pressings of this album have the embossed, raised logo and lettering on the front cover. I bought this copy used from a record store when I was living in New York state about 14 – 15 years ago.

The cardboard outer cover and vinyl are both in nice, clean condition. The assessment of the condition of vinyl, inner sleeve, and cover are as follows.

VINYL: VG (leans to strong possibility of VG+), Side A looks near perfect overall under incandescent light source. Side B  has several very light, faint hairline marks. Side A has a couple of areas with light scuffing on the lead-in groove, which produces some low popping sounds through about half of the keyboard introduction of “The Exorcist”.

I play tested this record on a Revolver turntable with a Sumiko Blue Point Special cartridge. The play back was CLEAN, smooth, and solid. No skips, clicks, or pops, except for those several seconds on Side A. Center labels are very clean. No spindle marks, tears, or stains. Very nice condition (see photos).

INNER SLEEVE: Fully intact, no tears or stains. There are two approximately ½” seam splits on the left and right hand sides of the inner sleeve. Both were repaired with clear tape by the previous owner. There is some light wrinkling and creasing on the front and back, which doesn’t detract from the photo collage or lyrics.

COVER: VG (to possibly VG+), the outer cover is fully intact. No seam splitting, tears, or stains. There is mild shelf wear on the bottom edge. Moderate edge wear on the bottom left hand corner. There is very faint ring wear on the front and back covers. It is barely noticeable unless you are really searching for it. The back cover has indentations from being laid on hard, small objects and some indentations caused by a ballpoint pen, which can only be seen in reflected light. I can only read, “best of metal”. The rest is illegible. All of them are visible when held under an incandescent light source and allowed for the light to reflect off the cover at an angle. Otherwise, they are not noticeable. The full color printing is SOLID on both front and back covers. Nice, bright printing, especially in the logos, with little to no fading (see photos),

This would be a good starter copy for a beginning death metal vinyl collector. It has been safely stored in a cool, dry place in an acid-free LP storage box for many, many years now.

All international winners of vinyl LPs or multiple items will have their items securely packaged, taken to a U.S. Post Office location, and get a direct airmail shipping quote to be added to their winning total.

All buyers, both foreign and domestic, are responsible for requesting extra shipping services for their packages prior to payment. Domestic packages can have insurance, registered, or delivery confirmation added to their shipping total. Foreign packages can have insurance or registered shipping added to their shipping total. These postal services ensure safer, trackable delivery of your package, especially internationally. If a winning bidder does not request special shipping services prior to payment, or if a winner fails to respond to e-mail inquiries for special shipping services, the total will be calculated, or the package sent with no special shipping services. Therefore, if the package is damaged, lost, or stolen once shipped without these special shipping options, the seller is absolved of all further actions, either in past, present, or future, regarding the package including any compensatory measures in any amount to the buyer.

In other words, if you don’t pay for registered shipping, insurance, or delivery confirmation, there is nothing I can do for you if your package becomes lost, stolen, or damaged in transit to your house. Please request the service if you believe it necessary.
