PORTER WAGONER Interview/ Ralph Emery Show /May 2-5, 1983 LPs X 4 RARE


These were super captivating interviews with Porter Wagoner. Porter was known for his flashy suits and blond pompadour and introduced Dolly Parton in 1967 and they became a popular duo.


Ralph Emery asks Porter all sorts of questions with his music weaved in with country music that was popular at the time.


All 4 are in VG+ condition; play tested all of them myself.


Does not have any radio station cue sheets.


These were not sold in stores . This is a rare item that was only available to the radio station.


Shipped in plain white sleeve.

They talk about his nicknames, his latest record, when Roy Acuff, whom he idolized, came into his town when he was 12, writing songs about incidents that happen in the music business, pretending he was at the Grand Ol Opry when he was a kid, when he was on the Grand Ol Opry as a performer, etc.


(The most interesting is on May 3rd record, there is an excerpt Dolly Parton talks about the lawsuit between her and Porter and possibility of making more duet records and then Porter’s explanation of it. )
