COMMENT :Awesome vintage funky soul jazz beats LP featuring U.S. NAVY PORT AUTHORITY SOUL BAND, from approximately the early seventies. Title is “TOGETHER.” Of the several Port Authority releases, this is BY FAR their best and funkiest.. Condition is stunning , Guaranteed to be an original pressing, not a reissue! Personnel consists of: ROSE LEWIS – vocals, Don Letbetter – trumpet, Mac Wright – trombone, James Allen – piano and leader, Mike Beegle – saxophone, Richie Reddick – bass, Norman Clark – guitar, and David Carradine - drums. Side 1 contains following songs: “Scoobe,” “Can’t Get Down, If I Can’t Get Up,” “We’re All the Same,” “D.C. Walk,” and “You Had to Know.” Side Two contains following tunes: “Hold On,” “I’m For Real,” “So Sad,” “Super Strut,” and “Someday We’ll All Be Free.”
