Description

Rare original copy of the classic Beatles Album Please Please Me,pressed in South Africa.

ALBUM:Black and Silver Label,PMCJ 1202,XEX 421 & XEX 422.Has non-breakable on the right,speed 33 1/3rd on left in small print.

Side 1 has the usual credits after the track name,but at the bottom under "The Beatles" has: 1,2,6,7: Dick James Music.3 Shapiro Bernstein.4 Aldon Music.5 Ardmore & Beechwood (S.A.)

Side 2 has 1,2 Ardmore & Beechwood(S.A.).3 Aberbach (S.A.).4,6, Dick James Music.5 Ambassador Music Ltd.7 R. Mellin Ltd.

On both sides at the bottom has: Pressed in S.A. under directions of the Parlophone Co Ltd.

Condition, vinyl has some light surface marks,nothing deep, the vinyl is nice and shiny,has some noise when played,can be heard most between each track,but no jumps or major crackles.Label is in excellent condition,very minor spindle wear on side 2 (this is really minute ) otherwise the label is in very good condition.

Cover this again differs from the UK one`s.Front cover the Parlophone logo and name are on the right,plus Long playing 33 1/3 rpm, all within a box.Back cover has PMCJ1202 on right & left.A.The history etc is in smaller script with the album name etc more central,and again smaller.Has a Parlophone copyright warning bottom left,Parlophone Long Playing 33 1/3rpm Record on right.Under this is Record Manufactured By E.M.I (South Africa) (PTY.) Ltd.Swan Press.

Condition of the cover apart from some slight feathering on the open edge it is in remarkably good condition,Flip back seams are all intack with no signs of glueing etc,no writing,a couple of minor creases but nothing very serious,all edges and seams have no scuffs etc.

Neither on the record or on the cover does it state whether its Mono or Stereo.

I have given an honest description to the above,I`m no record collector.I have taken advice on the originality and authenticity of the Album.
