Description
On offer here is a VERY rare LP (especially in this condition!!!!) by Plastic Penny called "Two Sides Of A Penny" and is an ORIGINAL 1968 UK 1st Pressing on the 1st Press Page One label!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND!!!! THIS IS ONE OF THE RAREST LPs ON THE PAGE ONE LABEL - AND VIRTUALLY NEVER TURNS UP FOR SALE!!!! JUST TRY AND FIND ANOTHER ONE!!!! BACK IN 1968 WHEN THIS LP WAS FIRST RELEASED - IT ONLY EVER SOLD IN ABSOLUTELY TINY AMOUNTS, AND WAS ALMOST IMMEDIATELY DELETED!!!! AS A RESULT IT IS SERIOUSLY RARE, AND IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO LOCATE TODAY!!!! THIS LP IS MADE EVEN RARER STILL - AS IT IS THE MUCH MUCH RARER STEREO 1ST PRESSING (MOST WERE MONO INSTEAD!)!!!!
NOT ONLY THAT BUT THIS LP IS IN GREAT CONDITION OVERALL AND HAS BARELY BEEN PLAYED AT ALL!!!! AND APART FROM A FEW SURFACE SCUFFS (NON SOUNDING) ON A SMALL AREA OF ONE SIDE OF THE VINYL (CLEARLY DETAILED BELOW - PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ IT!) - THIS IS A GREAT LP, AND PLAYS BRILLIANTLY!!!! JUST TAKE A LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!!! THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1968 UK STEREO 1ST PRESSING ON 1ST PRESS PAGE ONE LABEL, 1ST PRESS INNER SLEEVE, AND 1ST PRESS 'GARROD & LOFTHOUSE' FLIPBACK LAMINATED 'PATENTS PENDING' STEREO COVER!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND LIKE THIS - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS AMAZING OPPORTUNITY!!!! This is the ORIGINAL Page One UK 1st Pressing from 1968 and is in GREAT condition overall!!!! The record is pressed on THICK quality vinyl. The Cat. No is POLS 005 on the ORIGINAL 1st Press Page One label (see picture) and is a much MUCH rarer UK STEREO 1st Pressing!!!!
The record labels are in SUPERB condition (see pictures) with NO wear, NO writing, and only a few VERY light spindle marks!!!! IT IS VERY CLEAR THAT THIS RECORD HASNT BEEN PLAYED MUCH AT ALL!!!! The vinyl is in GREAT condition overall!!!! Most of these 60s LPs had been to a lot of wild parties and are usually found totally worn out, and almost unplayable. This one is NOT and plays SUPERBLY from end to end!!!! And indeed AT LEAST 80% of this record has SUPERB visuals - with NO scratches, only 2 or 3 VERY light hairlines, NO scufflines, and only a VERY few of the lightest paper scuffs only visible under light!!!! THE RECORD STILL RETAINS ITS ORIGINAL 'JUST PRESSED' LOOK AND SHINES LIKE NEW!!!! And AT LEAST 80% of this record grades Very Good++++ if not better and ALL of this record plays BRILLIANTLY!!!! However! For some reason (only known to the 1 previous owner!) about 1/5 (one fifth) of ONE SIDE ONLY - has a few fingernail scuffs in the same area. Quite why this was done is beyond me! But LUCKILY these are quite light (though they are visible) and DO NOT SOUND AT ALL (apart from the odd VERY isolated MEGA low level click) - and they have barely touched the sound quality AT ALL, on this BRILLIANT playing LP!!!! So in short - one side of this LP is virtually like NEW, 4/5ths of the other side is much the same, and just 1/5th on ONE SIDE ONLY has a few careless fingernail scuffs - which are quite light, and barely affect play AT ALL!!!! The sound quality is simply SUPERB with NO groovewear and NO distortion either!!!! Obviously those wanting MINT records wont be interested in this one, but those who want a PRESENTABLE, VERY SHINY, AND BRILLIANT PLAYING RECORD - at a cheaper price than the HUGE fortune required to own a Mint copy, should certainly consider this EXTREME rare LP!!!! And please remember - just 1 small needle mark can completely ruin the sound on a record WAY more than this one (which plays VERY well indeed!)!!!! The record must MEGA STRICTLY visually grade Good++++ (PROPERLY graded, NOT trashed!) if not better - though 80% is AT LEAST visually graded Very Good++++ if not better, and the playing grade for the WHOLE record is AT LEAST Very Good++ if not better - with only a VERY few ULTRA light clicks (99% of which are completely lost in the music!)!!!! Believe me this record is NOT overgraded in ANY way!!!! I use STRICT RC grading standards - it is not in my interest not to!!!! Brillant!!!! The record comes in its ORIGINAL 1st Press inner sleeve which is in BRILLIANT condition!!!! The 1st Press 'Garrod & Lofthouse' Flipback Laminated 'Patents Pending' STEREO Cover is in GREAT condition!!!! It has NO edge wear, NO spinal wear, only slight corner wear (NOT through the colour!), only 1 TINY repaired nick in the opening edge (absolutely TINY!), only a few VERY light creases (cover is VERY flat looking!), VERY shiny laminate, only 2 or 3 indentation lines at the VERY top, and NO writing!!!! The opening edge is beautifully straight with NO feathering!!!! Even the unlaminated back of the cover is in BRILLIANT condition with NO grubbyness, NO yellowing, NO rubbing, NO ringwear, and NO writing!!!! The cover must grade Very Good+ if not better!!!! THIS LP IS SERIOUSLY RARE AND VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO LOCATE - SO DONT MISS OUT ON THIS INCREDIBLE OPPORTUNITY!!!!
