SONATINA SUI TASTI NERI / UNO STRANO SENSO DI QUIETE ... 7-inch, 45rpm OST TV single by PIPPO CARUSO. Original Italian pressing on DERBY label (DBR 3173), from 1975. Little known and seldom heard disco lounge funk grail from Italy ;) We are really happy to be able to offer you this super-obscure sigla TV 7inch by cult arranger, Pippo Caruso... A personal favourite from the man who brought you the seedy L'Occhio Dietro La Parete and Maladolescenza film score on the Cinevox label. His SONATINA SUI TASTI NERI theme is next level and yet another killer example of his sound. Part elegant, part sleazy with slick B-boy drum patterns cum hip hop breakbeats / hard piano and jazzy fender rhodes led arrangement. Beautiful solo female scat harmony (maybe a girl from the Nora Orlandi singers) / disco strings with cello stabs / cool breakdowns and a groove that just gets better and better as it unfolds with funky twists and turns throughout. Great for DJs. Booming production sound. We first found this record circa 10 years ago and have never seen a copy again, until now ;) If you are into the hottest Italian lounge with boom bap drums, this item will slay you. Seldom comes up for sale. Big record with certain Japanese collectors too. Very rare OST 45!!!

Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with some hairlines / light scuffs and a couple of tiny craters from the original pressing process. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks to intro of "Sonatina Sui Tasti Neri" side from these aforementioned pressing anomalies (as you can hear on our soundclip). Small triangular deletion stamp hole through label but quite common for certain Italian singles. Record housed in Derby custom label generic sleeve of the period. Sleeve is in VG+ condition overall with general wear from storage. Ring creasing / edge and corner wear. Some mini tears etc from storage. Very rare OST 45!!!

Please feel free to contact us with any condition queries you may have preferably before bidding. We will get back to you asap.
