1st ROUND Lp by PINO PRESTI SOUND. Original Italian 1st pressing on ATLANTIC label (T 50274), from 1976. Sophisticated Italian disco and Brazilian lounge led by the cult bass player / arranger and producer. Giuseppe Prestipino is an important session man since the '60s, from Augusto Martelli to Aldemaro Romero but his most famous collaborations were with Mina. This is his debut Lp and the sound of Milan in the spring of '76. An eclectic, tropical influenced session, featuring stellar musician friends like Alberto Baldan Bembo on arp synthesizer / moog and marimba ;) The whole Lp is superb. Our soundclip opens with the spaced-out disco mood of L'ESTATE DI LAURA followed by the boom bap rhythms of FUNKY BUMP / the atmospheric scat batucada of E SE NON ARRIVASSE then several other themes. Great for DJs. C'ERA UNA VOLTA is serene and beautiful with flute by Giorgio Baiocco (who played for The Mario Rusca Quartet and Tullio De Piscopo Revolt Group) / AGHEDO OSANWONYI is afro disco with heavy beats / ASPETTANDO IL GIORNO is exotic and mellow / C.SO BUENOS AYRES and SMILE mix disco with funky Brazilian flair. ANGIE has a stoned AOR - SSW feel with gently complex, progressive rock elements too. The production is also superb (the recording technician was no other than Gianluigi Pezzera of The Vietnam - Transfert 2002 / Frrrrrigidaire / Ciak Si Muore giallo thriller soundtrack). Sleeve design by Mario Convertino. Our record grading: SEALED / M- / VG++ / VG+ / VG 

Vinyl is in shiny, strong VG+ condition with some hairlines / light scuffs and old pressing marks. Light surface noises. A few soft pops / soft ticks in places (as you can hear on our soundclip) but mostly to the gentle intro of "Angie" theme. Shallow, very slight dish to vinyl from storage. The laminated card sleeve is closer to M- condition and still retains most of its original shrinkwrap. Minimal wear to the exposed open side. A few tears in the shrink (mostly to the top right area). The original insert is included and has some age spots and creasing. Rare Lp!!!
