Description

Artist: Pink Floyd

Title: Wish You Were Here

Details: - Rare 1975 Original 1st Issue UK release on the `EMI` label with `Top Vinyl` (Looks Unplayed) `, as you would expect has the 1st issue `cut cornered` inner card sleeve` later issues were square with 90 degree corners) plus `perforated edge postcard` (again later issues did not have the perforated edge), so hard to find 1st issues in this condition!!! - matrix/run out side 1 SHVL 814 A-4/ SHVL 814 B-13

Label: Harvest

Catalogue No: SHVL 814

Year: 1975

Country: UK

Vinyl: (M-) Superb Top Condition `Thicker` Vinyl,  `Looks Unplayed` even under bright Halogen Spotlights you will have to look hard to see any light paper scuffs lines (Amazing considering it was sold in a `rough` hard card inner sleeve, this has been quickly removed and placed in a proper tissue lined sleeve) - Plays Fab as you would expect of a 1st Issue with clear warm tones and strong dynamics, there is some light dust crackle in the quieter sections (this should be expected on a record not played for nearly 39 years and started to disappear on play)    Inserts: comes with original 1st Issue `Hard Card` inner sleeve which is identified by its four cut corners, this is in EX++ condition with just 1 or 2 slight ageing spots, also the postcard (usually missing or replaced!!) which is perforated along the edge on the 1st issues this is in NM condition   Sleeve: (EX++/NM) Original `Laminated single sleeve, Top spine, no edge or ring wear, sharp opening (showing how little this record was removed from sleeve)   Labels: Clean labels - No visible spindle lines   Post/Packing: UK - £5.50, Europe - £7.50, World £9.50

I use professionally made packers with card stiffeners & record removed from album cover

Gradings: I use the standard UK gradings as set out in Record Collector Magazine below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

Near Mint,  EX+, VG+ etc are acceptable additions to help `fine tune` descriptions for the buyer
