Description

This is an ORIGINAL vinyl copy of the classic, 1968 Psychedelic LP "A SAUCERFUL OF SECRETS" by PINK FLOYD. This is an ORIGINAL 1ST PRESSING STEREO issue with BLUE logo & BLUE COLUMBIA on the label. On the highly collectable COLUMBIA label; the cat.no. is SCX 6258.  Matrix nos. YAX 3633 - 1  &  YAX 3634 - 1 .  

The outer, single, front laminated cover is in VERY GOOD condition overall. Glossy, with several minor creases, quite alot of corner rubbing, but remarkably little edge rub this cover is actually still very good.  The front colour laminated surface is VERY GOOD+ with just some creases letting it down. The spine is also VERY GOOD+ ; perfectly, straight, flat & true with all Title Print easily readable, but with several spinal creases & dings along it's length. The opening edge is VERY GOOD with minor feathering, but no actual tears/rips. The rear, triple-flipback, black surface is VERY GOOD+, having a touch of Ringwear & with the continuation of the spine creases/dings for the width of the Flipback border. Otherwise the Flipbacks are in VERY GOOD order with no bits missing. There is also a very small, very neat name written in blue ink in the white part of the Columbia logo at the bottom of the cover, not at all obtrusive or, unsightly. On the top Flipback (in the far right-hand corner) is the "File under POPULAR : Pop Groups" classification print. In the bottom right-hand corner (again, on the Flipback) is "Printed and made by Garrod & Lofthouse Ltd. Patents pending" indicating a very 1st issue. I grade this back surface as VERY GOOD+; with all type/print perfectly readable. 

The BLACK record labels with Silver print & Blue logo & COLUMBIA are EXCELLENT+. Virtually no spindle marking or any other marks to prevent such a high grading; REMARKABLE!.  The EMI Inner (sepia, advertising other EMI LPs) is also EXCELLENT+.

The vinyl is VERY GOOD+ with a few surface marks visible in ordinary daylight & more to be seen under strong artificial light. Looks quite good to me in natural daylight. Certainly no major scratches or deep marks. Test played today on my highly critical Linn Sondek LP12 ; Plays PRETTY WELL with the odd noticeable click & crackle & some surface noise between tracks & in the quieter passages no jumps however.
