Pulse 4LP Box Set

This highly collectable 25 track four 4LP box set is in excellent condition and the audio is graded as below.  I play test every record so as to provide a comprehensive grading as all my regular customers know.

'Pulse' was released as a limited edition in 1995 and each LP is housed inside its own respective sleeve which in turn is contained within a thicker glossy picture sleeve.  It also includes a deluxe 52 page 12" square hardback book with many colour live photos.  The 'set' is contained within a lavish hardback slipcase box.

Visual grading

All four vinyls have a lovely glossy sheen and only the fourth one appears to have been played.  There is no spindle wear to be seen apart from a tiny amount on S7 and one line on S8.  The vinyls themselves have no markings apart from one small scratch on S7 and this is described below.  The run out grooves are super clean also and look untouched.

Play grading  

The audio for the majority is stunning and the much plays as Mint- the quality is that good.  'Hey You' on S3 does have a few light clicks about one minute in although I cannot see what is causing it.  There is a little static on some of the intros to each side but this is common with this box set.  I must stress however that any static is minimal and not intrusive unless otherwise mentioned.  As I say the audio overall is of an impeccable standard but S7 does have some interference here and there.  The 'Us And Them' intro has some intrusive crackle and a couple of pops but does decrease soon after the vocal begins and the remainder plays with excellent clarity and barely any 'background'.  The end of 'Brain Damage' and the first few seconds of 'Eclipse' has some loud clicks but aside from that they both play very well.  S8 has some loud pops at the start but this is before 'Wish You Were Here' starts.  A pressing fault I believe - a very small 'bubble' on the vinyl.  The intro just has some static and then plays with wonderful quality.  'Comfortably Numb' is stunning from start to finish and has no interference whatsoever.  'Run Like Hell' has some static/crackle at the beginning but once it gets going it plays with superlative sound.

The Box

The slipcase box is in excellent condition overall with some 'rubbing' here and there.  This is mainly restricted to the corners.  The front of the box is very clean and the back has a little creasing towards the bottom only.  The barcode sticker can be seen on the back also.

Hardback Book & Inner Sleeves

The book and contents are superb condition and there is no shelf wear on the edges.  Only one of the inner sleeves has a very small split on one side and the others are in perfect condition.  The outer sleeves are practically Mint aside from a very minimal amount of rubbing on the top and bottom of the spines.  So often with 'Pulse' you find the records have worn through the spines but I am happy to say this isn't the case here.  

The labels

They are all in superb condition and as stated only S7/8 has a mega small amount of spindle wear.
