Here is a very special copy of one of the most famous albums ever recorded. The edition was mastered and pressed exclusively for readers of HI-FI Today Magazine and available by mail order only

The original Nimbus pressing of Pink Floyd Wish You Here has achieved almost legendary status among collectors and audiophiles, and genuinely exceptional examples are becoming increasingly difficult to find now.

This copy is from my family collection and been in our possession for 42 years. Believe me when I say this is a very difficult decision to let this go as it means a lot.

It retains the original Nimbus shrinkwrap, and the vinyl has been untouched for decades. The condition was so extraordinary that I couldn't resist giving it a single play test and the results were every bit as impressive as I had hoped.

There are records that just sound so much better in vinyl and this is one of the best.

And then there are those rare pressings where you suddenly understand exactly why collectors become obsessed with vinyl in the first place.

This is one of them.

The Nimbus has a remarkable sense of openness, presence and detail. Vocals and instruments have an almost startling immediacy, with an expansive presentation that can make the performance feel remarkably close and tangible.

I've owned and heard many different Pink Floyd pressings over the years, but this is one of those copies that really makes you sit back and appreciate the difference a great pressing can make.

For audiophile collectors, I'd put this firmly in the top tier of desirable Pink Floyd pressings, alongside other legendary records where condition and mastering make all the difference.

And when a copy turns up in this kind of condition, complete with its original shrink, it also has the original postcard. Not something I’ve seen collections have often, then it becomes something considerably more special.

Tough decision to sell but ultimately, records this good deserve to be enjoyed and somewhere out there is hopefully another collector who will appreciate this one as much as I have.

It has been played exactly ONE TIME by myself purely to verify the condition and sound quality.

Wow, the test play was phenomenal.

The record produced an exceptionally clean, detailed presentation with no distracting surface noise during playback. Every little detail of the recording came through beautifully.

For anyone who has been searching for a genuinely exceptional Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here vinyl, this is an opportunity to acquire a copy that would be extremely difficult to improve upon.

SLEEVE — M-
Absolutely superb.
The sleeve remains in the original Nimbus shrinkwrap and is about as close to mint as you could realistically hope to find on an opened copy. Even has the original postcard it came with.

Beautiful corners, no staining and no significant wear and no creases.

The shrink is just like new apart from its been opened.

LABELS — NM+
The labels are exceptionally clean and present beautifully.
The spindle area retains the appearance you'd expect from a record that had seen little or no previous use.

VINYL M

This is a stunning piece of vinyl.

There are no scratches, no obvious marks and no visible hairlines. Pictures speak for themselves.

The playback was outstanding, wonderfully quiet, clean and detailed, with an impressive sense of clarity and presence.

The kind of copy that audiophiles search for, one where the vinyl itself isn't getting in the way of the music.

The Nimbus pressing is already highly regarded, but finding one preserved in this condition is what makes this particular example so desirable.
