PINK FLOYD - " THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON " , Harvest Records (SHVL 804), STEREO, UK Pressing, 1973.

Very rare first English issue of the classic album by Pink Floyd... this is the extremely rare early pressing with the solid blue triangle on the label, the stickered gatefold sleeve, original black inner sleeve, two stickers and two posters, plus maxtrix numbers which end in A-2/B-2 denoting the second run (of 500?) off the press.

This record has been professionally cleaned on my Moth cleaning machine (Note: after cleaning such a record, I do not have the heart to put it back in it's original sleeve so I have put the cleaned record in a new inner and included the original so it is still complete).

CONDITION:

VINYL = V.G. (Looking at this record under my bright grading lamp it does suffer quite few faint surface marks and some light visible groove damage. The label also bears the marks of previous use - spindle trails and other wear to the label - see photo. That said, this particular LP plays better than it's cosmetic appearance would suggest... obviously during the silent sections and quieter moments of the record there is some audible surface noise and the occasional pop or click, but to my ears not so much that the record is completely ruined. When the tracks kick in properly it is generally plays uninterupted and doesn't sound particulary distorted or worn out... the surface noise is obscured and the occasional clicks are sporadic enough to not be too much of a distraction. Personally, I think this would make an acceptable LP for someone who wants an early "solid blue triangle" issue with posters and stickers but cannot afford to pay the current going rate asked for mint and excellent copies. Note: for the testing/grading of this record, I have used my Linn LP12 Sondek turntable, which is generally quite critical although I must point out that I cannot guarantee exactly how this LP (or others I have for sale) will sound on your turntable - sorry to be so uptight, but I have met some very silly people on ebay over the years!)

SLEEVE = V.G.++ (NO rips, tears, defacing, big creases, etc. But does suffer a bit of light wear all over and around the edges, made more obvious by the black finish - see photo for more detailed info!)

STICKERS = EXCELLENT- (generally pretty good - see photos)

POSTERS = V.G.++ (No rips, defacing, etc. Just a bit crinkled - see photos)
