Format - 7" Single Columbia DB 8310 UK original pressing 1967
Condition - Used excellent. In the normal light of day this is an excellent copy in any ones book, however, as this is such an important record I will give you a detailed harsh direct light, groove by groove account: Side one. The wax is bright & glossy showing just very light bag rash & a few light surface lines. These light lines have been caused by what appears to be needle skate, perhaps when dust collects under the styli lifting the point out of the groove & then skating off towards the record middle. None of these lines can be felt & none affect the play in any way. No sound can be heard apart from the music it's self. Side two: Again we have good glossy vinyl with a tiny bit of bag rash & a few very light surface lines, none affecting play. Labels: Side one: Spotless with no damage or marks other than a few spindle marks showing that the b side has obviously been played a couple of times. Side two: Excellent, showing just one spindle mark.
Description - Sorry to go on so long about this discs condition, only I am sure that many collectors out there may be viewing this copy as an upgrade, or perhaps as it may fetch a few pound, you want to be sure of what you're paying for. This record came my way many years ago from a Disc Jockey who was sent virtually every British 45 that was pressed, direct from the record companies & reps at the time of, or shortly before general release. The factory sample sticker confirms this fantastic records status as a 1st press, although I doubt if this very rare record made it to 2nd press as it totally bombed at it's time of release, making it surely the rarest of the 5 Columbia UK issues by the band
