Here is a rare original UK vinyl copy of Never-Neverland, the superb debut LP by The Pink Fairies on Polydor (2383 045) from 1971. This is the coveted first pressing with the see-through PVC outer cover and psychedelic gatefold card inner. The combination of gatefold card within printed outer creates one of the most evocative covers of the era, giving a magical 3D effect to the scene (not at all preparing you for the deluge of psych music contained within). Copies of this original pressing are hard to come by these days, particularly in this condition. Many of these PVC outers are split, torn, defaced, discoloured or repaired but not this one, which is in remarkably well preserved VG+ condition with nothing other than a few tiny spots of print loss near the 'spine' (see photo of front of PVC sleeve with card inner removed). The colourful gatefold inner is a presentable VG- with some handling creasing and edgewear while the first pressing disc with A1/B1 matrices has seen plentiful play and grades G+, showing lots of surface marks when viewed under a strong halogen light.
