Description
Pierre Henry "Spatiodynamisme I/II" 7" in Nicolas Schöffer book Éditions du Griffon (Switerland) PEP 3511
a beautiful 154 page hard bound art book (9.5" x 12") with dust jacket dating from 1963 which documents the work of kinetic sculptor Nicolas Schöffer. profusely illustrated with several vellum and acetate pages and featuring text in English (there also exist versions of this book with text in German or French), this is a fascinating document of his work. the 7" has a two part work by Pierre Henry produced by "La Diffusion magnétique sonore" and made in 1954 to accompany a 50 meter high "sound-equipped spatiodynamic and cybernetic tower." it should also be pointed out that while there is a piece called "Spatiodynamisme" on the triple CD "Des Annees 50", it is a different version and much shorter that what is on this 15-minute 7".
