A Little about the band:
Formed in 1978, by Keith Haynes ( still in the band ) and Barrie O' Dare who later became the manager. Both were at Sir Thomas Picton School in Haverfordwest, West Wales at the time, and the idea really took shape in early 1979. However reference has to be made to the bands first gig as The Frames in 1978 at Sir Thomas Picton School in front of 300 punk affected kids. Yes, the band realised, albeit too late that they couldn't play, and for a bunch of 14 and 15 year old kids, they really did need the practice. Keith took up residence on the drums and Rob Folland joined on guitar, leaving the bass and singing duties to Tim Horsley. The band as a three piece honed in on a sound that was a cross between The UK Subs, and later GBH.
Hand of the Rider LP - was Initially planned as a 12 " this developed in to an LP when SO SO Records saw the benefits in releasing 16 tracks as opposed to 8 and making a few pounds. However, SO SO were in extreme difficulty financially, and sold the tapes to Duncan Mason from Rot Records who signed the band for a one off release.
In September 1985 the album finally came out on an original pressing of 2,000.
Bootlegged in blue vinyl in 1989, and really treated as a bastard until some Austrian collector stated ' This album is a Punk Rock classic '
Anyways, back to the record, this is the ultra-rare ORIGINAL PRESSING " . ....
