1970 Picture Disc

This picture disc is 42 yrs. old and in BEAUTIFUL condition.  For those who play picture discs,(?), it was spot tested and played fine. Quiet as far as a picture disc goes.

This picture disc has been unplayed.

The "Airconditioning"  picture disc was released in Nov. '70.  It is recognized as the first picture disc that was commercially  made for  an LP. This particular disc was released as  Curved Air's LP with no vinyl copies made at first.  After  realizing  that the sound qualities was extremely sub-par they yanked this disc off the shelves and replaced it with the same album on  black vinyl.

  Only 10,000 of these were made before being discontinued.  That was 42 years ago and they're pretty hard to come by these days.

This picture disc was manufactured in W. Germany, the group was British.

This disc is a first pressing as verified by the Matrix numbers, A-1 and B-1
This disc doesn't look played much, if at all to me.
Disc comes in a thin sleeve that goes inside a PVC jacket.

Grading:
Picture Disc: VG++ visually, spot play tested, passed w/ no skips
This disc is NOT  warped as so many of them were.

The PVC jacket:  VG+ (high end) Shows just a little bit of age discoloration but has no splits or tears.

The disc itself shows little to no wear and will look great framed.

Please keeping in mind before bidding that the sound reproduction will not  meet the quality that you hear on a normal vinyl record.  Picture Discs were not  really made to be played but to be displayed.  Thanks and good luck!!
