Howdy folks!

I'm listing up a collection of LPs and I figured rather than juggling another 50+ listings or putting together lots (which may have stuff you don't want...), I would have some fun with it and let you bid to put together your OWN LOT OF CLASSIC HEAVY METAL MAYHEM!

So checkout the list below, and with your winning bid, YOU PICK OUT 3 LPS of vintage metal mayhem! Winning bidder identify which 3 albums you would like with your payment... I will get them shipped to you, remove them from the list and repost the listing for the next go around.... Winning bidder may also purchase multiple lots (and save on shipping). At auctions end, email me a list of what you would like to get. I will post an additional listing with those albums for you to purchase (with the reduced shipping charges) and get them all shipped to you! Earlier you win = the better your selection! :)

Some background on this collection... Back in the 80's/90's I managed record stores in LA. Promo copies were always floating around since the reps were always promoting their latest bands and all the labels had offices in LA. We'd get stacks of albums we didn't necessarily have any interest in. When people would get albums of bands they didn't care about, we'd take em down and trade them in at a place called Record Trader. If the records weren't a hot commodity (ie Guns N Roses or Madonna or something like that...) Record Trader would slap a cheap price tag on them and put them into the used record bins...  I would comb these bins and grab up whatever clean vinyl Heavy Metal LPs I could find... new bands, obscure bands, etc... Sometimes I might give them a listen, but most often, they would just get sleeved and go into the collection... Well, now 25 years later, I'm offering up most of those albums here on ebay... Some of these are going to be obscure hard to find albums... Many are going to be promotional copies or cutouts.... Some have probably never even been played.....

CONDITIONS: PLEASE READ HOW I WILL BE GRADING THESE SO THERE IS NO CONFUSION. :)

JACKETS: Many of these are going to be promotional copies, hence they may be stamped, have the corner cut, have the spine notch or saw cut, or have a hole punch.. also some will have price stickers directly on the jacket - I will identify such conditions in the listing below. OTHERWISE, I'll use the following definitions to identify overall jacket condition (EXCLUDING any of the mentioned promotional identifiers or stickers - I'll let you decide what impact any of these have on overall condition...). Additionally, if any albums still have the original shrinkwrap on it, I'll tell you if the shrink has a major tear or something, but I'm not going to evaluate the shrinkwrap as far as any potential stickers, small holes, or residue or anything like that... I'm simply telling you the shrinkwrap is there so you can figure in most instances the actual jacket is going to be very clean, etc...

NM - near mint - pretty much perfect, maybe some very light wear at the corners, but overall glossy, crisp and void of any stickers, creases or imperfections - these are typically ones that still have the plastic on them or they look like the plastic just came off.... Highly collectible

EX - excellent shape but a minor imperfection or two that prevent NM status - maybe a touch of price sticker residue or a small bit of wear at corners or an edge... Nice collectible condition

VG+ - very good - some typical shelf wear, probably some average whitening at the corners, no major creases but maybe some minor creases or wear along one or more edges, maybe a price stickers or two, but overall in very good glossy shape... what you would expect of a 20-30 yr old jacket that has been reasonably cared for.. Decent collectible album...    

VG  - a good bit of wear but still complete and solid with some gloss to it.  Some circular fading along the outline of the actual vinyl may be beginning to show, probably some evident wear at the corners and some obvious wear at edges and minor chipping... . maybe a scuff or ding or two with possibly a noticeable crease from a corner getting dinged or bent... These are fine if you'd like a decent cover with some gloss on your album but aren't necessarily worried about collector appeal.... 

G - GOOD - complete and solid - but well used... little to no gloss, maybe some minor tears or writing,  probably significant wear at corners, perhaps numerous creases and chipping at multiple edges and obvious circular wear aligning with the vinyl, probably has a couple scuffs or splitting...It ain't all that pretty, but it'll hold your album and it isn't full on thrashed...

P - POOR - rough shape! very worn, possible writing on the jacket like radio station call letters scrawled across it, possible tears... It'll hold your album... but that's about it...

INNER SLEEVE - After jacket condition, I will identify what kind of inner sleeve is present (whether its a printed sleeve, a generic blank white sleeve or a clear sleeve). If it's a printed sleeve I will note anything beyond some average wear.. If it's a generic sleeve, I'm not as concerned... expect it to be in average shape with maybe some wrinkling at the corners... any blatant tears or writing will be identified...

VINYL - Much of the vinyl is going to be near perfect. Most were probably played a few times, if at all, and all have sat in my LP rack untouched for the last 20-25 years... I will do a visual review of each album and identify condition as follows:

NM - near mint - looks perfect 

EX - very nice with only the most minimal signs of use

VG - a few minor signs of use, but overall in very good condition 

G - obviously played more than a few times with more than a couple minor scratches or scuffs, but no major gouges...

POOR - rough shape! very worn with probably some major scratching...  I'd be surprised if it played through without any skips...

All albums will be mailed in an individual plastic sleeve (some sleeves maybe rather aged) and in an LP mailer sandwiched between either bubble wrap or cardboard..
