Description
Phoenix Sonshine
"Shinin' in the Light"
(U.S.A. Destiny Records D-4404-S, stereo) 1972
orange & black, grooved label; Side 2 track 2 title is spelled incorrectly ("Lazerus").
EX / solid VG+ (rec/cvr)
Clean LP with clean labels. Brightly colored red/ yellow cover has light overall wear (ring wear, wear to edges & corners) but no seam splits or serious flaws. A two-sided inner sleeve with lyrics & credits is included and is in strong EX condition with no tears or edge splits (disc will be put in a different paper sleeve for shipping). The three members of the group pictured on back cover (Paul Amschler, Gary Cowan and Debbe Mick) signed autographs around the pic.
There appear to be multiple pressings of this excellent Christian psych/ folk/ rock LP (line-up includes both electric & acoustic guitars, elec. bass, elec.piano, organ, drums, flute & congas); I have no idea how to tell them apart, but, it seems likely to me that if a Christian band mis-spelled the name of a character from the Bible (as this one did--side 2, track 2 is given as "Lazerus") they would correct the error for a second press....just sayin'.
Anyway, you can hear the band for yourself by clicking the links below:
