Description
This is a rare 2 LP boxed set of Beethoven Sonatas for Cello and Piano released in France on Philips High-Fi Stereo label reference number 835 182-83 AY. It features Mstislav Rostropovitsch and Svjatoslav Richter. The front of the box cover lid has the 'Grand Prix' label on it.
The records are in very good condition to my eye with nothing to suggest they have been played and with no spindle marks that I can see. They were left to me by an Aunt and I don't think she played them. The records are in a clear polythene sleeve within a white card record envelope which has the name 'Philips' embossed on each record envelope. There is a clean and crisp explanatory booklet accompanying the two records.
The covers of the box are in good condition, some light scuffs to the front and back but otherwise no damage. The Grand Prix label is affixed to the bottom right front as mentioned already.
Hopefully the seven pictures will give a good indication of the description and condition so please have a good look at them if you wish to bid.
The box set will be sent in a purpose made record packet. The combined weight is over 1.1kg and postage is by Royal Mail Special Delivery. Part of this cost is included in the price.
