Description

The soundtrack to Don Coscarelli's Phantasm - the cult sci-fi/horror movie from 1979 that's best remembered for The Tall Man (played by Angus Scrimm) and that evil little flying silver sphere. Composed by Fred Myrow (who also scored "Soylent Green") & Malcom Seagrave, the Phantasm soundtrack is a brilliant piece of work that perfectly matches the stylised surrealism of the movie using a menagerie of percussion instruments, synthesiser, Clavinet and electric piano to create pulsing rhythms, other-wordly textures and abrupt mood-shifts. PHANTASM  [VC 81105, VARESE SARABANDE RECORDS].  This release, has some great colorful artwork from the movie poster on the front and soundtrack & film credit info, and pictures from the movie on the back cover. You won't be disappointed.

The lp is visually graded NM- [nice & shiny]. The album cover is graded NM [still is partially shrinkwrapped, small corner dings]
