PHANTASM 180g vinyl LP MONDO Gatefold with liner notes RARE Red splatter vinyl
- This was Mondo's first release of the PHANTASM soundtrack on vinyl. Before this edition, it had only been available in a rare Varese Sarabande edition in the seventies around the time of the film's theatrical release. - It features new liner notes by director Don Coscarelli on a separate sheet with artwork of the iconic silver sphere! - This is one of the most amazing synth scores of the seventies, right up there with Suspiria and Halloween. - Beautiful gatefold sleeve features the dwarf creatures on the Red Planet. - I've affixed the HYPE STICKER to the dust sleeve. If this is not your preference it is easy to replace with a new sleeve. - This is a BLACK VINYL with a RED BLOOD SPATTERED design!
A note about condition: - I bought this record new and played it fewer than ten times. In my experience many modern records do experience "Needle jump" due to mastering. I experienced that with this record when it was new out of the sleeve, and needed to adjust my tone arm. If you have this issue it shouldn't be too hard to fix. Because of this I graded the record as VERY GOOD + rather than higher than that, even though there are no visual issues with the record.
