This is an unquestionably rare P.F. Sloan 10" acetate from 1965 featuring his solo recording of "Take Me For What I'm Worth". P.F. Sloan is legendary for composing classic 1960's anthems like Eve of Destruction and Secret Agent Man. This rare acetate features P.F. singing with only harmonica and acoustic guitar backing. Although this performance was released to the public on a Sloan anthology LP in 1993, it was aurally smoothed out and altered with reverb and equalization compared to the direct, dry, and present sound on this acetate.

This amazing rare acetate comes from the archive of a veteran L.A. music business insider. It is guaranteed authentic. It was recorded at the legendary Western Recorders on Sunset Blvd. in Hollywood and bears the classic Western Recorders Inc. acetate label. The acetate plays through with no skips. It is typically noisy and shows some general handling wear. But the disc is flat, has no chips, and is in very playable condition. The label is slightly soiled but the colors and printing are strong. This is a chance to own an incredible rare P.F. Sloan 1960's acetate at NO RESERVE.
