Description

Peter Murphy Cascade Vinyl LP Beggars Banquet/Caroline Spanish Import. A Very... Very Rare Find...
I bought this record over 20 years ago in the year 1995 from the tiny "vinyl import" section of the Virgin Record store in Los Angeles -- I was 21 years old... I've been a Bauhaus and Peter Murphy fan since I was 14... It is very rare as they only printed a small-run limited number of vinyl copies of this release -- only in Spain. There was no US vinyl release of this album nor any other international release. Many Peter Murphy aficionados consider "Cascade" to be the very best studio album that Mr Murphy has ever recorded even ranking it higher than his 1989 classic breakthrough LP "Deep".
Every word, every song, every cord, every harmony, every vocal inflection is absolutely masterful on this album... In my opinion, Mr Murphy's Cascade, Love Hysteria and Deep albums all belong in any credible list of the top 100 alternative rock albums ever recorded...
I hope to pass this little treasure of a record to another lifelong fan of Peter's work.
I have only played this record maybe 30-40 times in the 20+ years I've had it and I take care of my records. I purchased the Cascade CD release, at the same time as, the vinyl and mainly played the CD or MP3 versions of this album when I've wanted to hear it over the years.
The vinyl record itself is in VG+ to MINT condition and shows no imperfections and plays beautifully. The outer sleeve is in G+ to VG condition and shows only minor signs of wear around the edges and in the very very subtle impression of the vinyl. The bottom left corner of the outer sleeve has subtle crumples this is the only imperfection that is at all noticeable -- to a serious collector anyway the average person would say it looks virtually new... The inner sleeve is in VG condition with all the seams in tact, no crumpling or tearing. The ink and paper combination that they used to print the inner sleeve made it very prone to very subtly pick-up the natural oil from one's finders when held so there are some subtle fingerprint here and there on the inner sleeve. If you look close at the large photos of the inner sleeve I've included you can see them. Again, I'm not talking about fingerprints from food or olive oil that were on hands that held the inner sleeve I mean the very subtle natural oil that resides in one's skin.
The last I checked there are 0 copies of this record for sale online on eBay or from any online source from US sellers and only 3 copies of this record for sale online from Europe with one in particularly good shape going for $1,514.87 (1,299.00 EURO) + $28 Shipping.
This record will ship out to US buyers for FREE via insured FedEx Express 1-3 day service and it will be packed per-professional-grade-standards for the shipment of rare vinyl records. The vinyl record itself will be removed from the inner sleeve and secured with cardboard stiffeners to the outer sleeve to prevent movement of the record when shipped thus damage to the inner sleeve or the vinyl record itself. The outer box will be made of 2X corrugated cardboard fitted squarely to the corners of the outer sleeve of the record to prevent crumpling of the outer sleeve corners or bending of the vinyl. The corners of the outer box will be double enforced. This meticulous packaging will insure safe delivery of this very rare find.
This rare record is additionally offered to all international eBay buyers via the eBay Global Shipping Program.
I offer a 14-day money back guarantee and will have your record shipped out to you via FedEx Express 1-3 Day service within 1 business day of your cleared PayPal payment.
I have been selling on eBay since the year 2000 and have a 100% positive feedback rating with over 300 sales and buyers reporting. I have sold and managed the sale and shipment of a number of rare art pieces from my family's collection including a very rare French bronze by Eugene-Antoine Aizelin that sold for over $5K and weighed about 40lbs to an international buyer all the way in Hong Kong.
