Description
- Peter Gabriel released his fourth studio album "Security" in September 1982 on Geffen Records. It was a commercial success thanks to the huge hit "Shock The Monkey" and was one of the first albums to be digitally recorded and mastered.
- This Promo copy of (GHS 2011) is a very rare Limited Edition QUIEX II Audiophile Pressing on high quality vinyl and is in excellent condition. The cover and the Inner Lyrics Sleeve are easily VG+. Please see the pictures. Normally I don't rate vintage vinyl any higher than VG+ but this audiophile disc test plays perfectly and is Near-Mint. The lacquer was cut at Richard Branson's Townhouse Studios in Shepherd's Bush, London and it was mastered by Greg Fulginiti at Sheffield Lab Matrix in Santa Monica. This audiophile copy was pressed by Allied Record Co. in Los Angeles. The Side One dead wax is etched GHS-1-2011-RE1-SH2 a B-17079.RE1 SH2 TOWNHOUSE LONDON 40622 A SS#2 + SLM △2301 except for the Allied "a" logo and Townhouse London which are stamped.
- In addition to its original packaging, this album will come with a high quality Anti-Static Round Bottom Inner Sleeve to hold the vinyl disc and a sturdy 3 mil. polyethylene Archival Quality Outer Sleeve. It will ship securely in the special corrugated Album Mailer seen in the last picture.
- This vintage 12" vinyl album has been sitting upright on a shelf in climate controlled storage for the past 39 years. It has not been played in decades other than a quick test spin for this sale which found no skips or obvious flaws. Like all used records it should be cleaned and wiped with an anti-static brush to minimize the occasional pops that are part of playing vinyl albums. Buyers should note that this is a well-cared for but used record and it will have some minor imperfections.
