Some Ebayers have ridiculously complex grading systems or list records as EXCELLENT and then say it has scratches?!?!?
Here is my own very simple grading list:-
NEW - does what is says on the box; brand new / unplayed / possibly sealed
MINT - not new but almost as good as / no damaged to record or cover / played once or twice at most
EXCELLENT - a record that has been played multiple times but has been looked after and kept in superb condition / no damage or marks on cover
VERY GOOD - maybe a few light hairline scratches / paper scuff from sleeve / small sticker or mark on cover / slight crease on cover or edge wear ... still well worth investing in.
... ANYTHING LESS THAN THAT GOES STRAIGHT TO MY LOCAL CHARITY SHOP!
I only sell albums that I would be happy to purchase myself and that will sound great when played on a good turntable.
