Jamaican dub stalwart Lee "Scratch" Perry has long been open to the idea of collaborating with different artists; even so, this hook-up with New Jersey beat-maker Mr Green is still something of a surprise. While you might expect Perry to be at the controls of the mixing desk, it's actually the other way round, with Mr Green creating sonic gold with stems - vocals, instrumentation and so on - provided by the self-styled "Upsetter". As a result, the set is nowhere near as dub-wise as you'd expect, instead offering a brilliant fusion of hip-hop, reggae, ambient, dub and more experimental beat-scapes, with occasional wild nods towards rock and tripped-out electronica.
