Description

This is an auction for very rare and limited pressing of post-metal/doom/stoner rock band, Pelican's 2003 debut album, "Australasia"(Out of Print) on orange swirl vinyl and in absolutely MINT condition. This particular pressing was ONLY LIMITED TO 300 and is the FIRST PRESSING of the debut, which many believe to be the band's best and most skillfully composed and complete work(4 of 5 stars by Allmusic). This pressing is also the only vinyl copy with this particular art motif by Aaron Turner of Isis, which is absolutely stunning, featuring beautiful photography from Gregory White of a mountain and lake landscape digitally altered and being overcome by bubble clouds, in vibrant oranges and electric blues. Truly a beautiful piece of art, as well as a tremendous musical achievement; both sonically and dynamically upping the standards of post-rock/metal. Don't let someone else snatch up this mesmerizing piece of art.
