PAUL McCARTNEY - BIRTHDAY - 7 INCH VINYL SINGLE - RARE DEMONSTRATION COPY with GATEFOLD BIRTHDAY CARD OUTER - PARLOPHONE R6271 - MINT-/EXCELLENT
This disc is a very rare demo copy given to me at a radio station I worked on in the 1990s. It has been played through by me, hence Mint- condition. It has it's Birthday Card Outer, with a greeting and signatures from Paul and Linda printed inside. It was released on what would have been John Lennon's 50th birthday (9th October) in 1990. I have kept this record in a protective plastic sleeve.
This disc was thoughtfully packaged in a 1960s style Parlophone inner sleeve which is in mint order and here you get two great Beatles tracks, Birthday and Good Day Sunshine sung live.
The record is also incorrectly pressed as it has a piece of vinyl on one edge which should have been trimmed off. The carrier groove is unaffected and the disc plays fine.
Vinyl condition: Mint-. No faults. Some visible marks to disc but play is fine. Obvious pressing error on edge. Has 'A' in red to denote demo copy.
Sleeve (Birthday Card Outer): Excellent. Some light wear to edges.
Sleeve(Parlophone Inner): Mint. 1960s replica single sleeve. No damage noted.
