Goes rockabilly !

Patsy Cline was pure country, but in the late '50s she briefly flirted with the new rockabilly sounds that she was hearing around the south. This single is quite remarkable in that she's very nearly gone right over the line into Wanda Jackson style rockabilly.

The topside is "Gotta Lot Of Rhythm in My Soul" and it's from a session she cut on January 9, 1959. Surely she must have been desperate to try anything new.

On the flip is "Love Me Love Me Honey Do." As you can see, it's one of those pressings on Everest Records and was in the shops in December of 1964.
