I'm offering the Patrice Rushen 33rpm promo album titled "Pizzazz." Released by Elektra Records in 1979. In stereo. In it's original jacket. I've owned this since it came out and have never played it. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Often times duplicates. Jacket is in like new condition while the sleeve, with song lyrics on the back, is in fair condition because the paper was been torn on the upper right as seen below. Patrice Louise Rushen (born September 30, 1954) is an American jazz pianist and R&B singer. She is also a composer, record producer, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and music director. Her 1982 single, "Forget Me Nots", received a Grammy Award nomination for Best Female R&B Vocal Performance. Rushen had great success on the R&B and dance charts, but "Forget Me Nots" was her only song to crack the Top 40 pop chart. ©Wikipedia

"Pizzazz" was Patrice's fifth album, also her second album with Elektra Records after making three jazz-oriented albums with Prestige Records. This was her second highest charting album, reaching #39 in 1979. It features the hit single "Haven't You Heard". The single soared to the top of R&B radio play lists and is among Rushen's biggest hits. With this album Patrice drew on such influences as Earth, Wind & Fire; Minnie Riperton; Stevie Wonder; and the Emotions. Rushen was able to get the R&B lover's attention with songs such as the funky opener "Let the Music Take Me," the soulful ballad "Settle for My Love," and the perky "Keepin' Faith in Love." "Pizzazz" received plenty of verbal attacks from jazz critics who accused Rushen of being a traitor, but from an R&B/Pop perspective, the album is considered one of Rushen's most rewarding and essential albums. ©Wikipedia

Here is a close-up of the sleeve where the paper is missing along the edge. This is the only area that is harmed. The rest of the sleeve is like new.
