Here on offer is an obscure Australian progressive concept album entitled The Star Suite by Patch. Patch consisted of:

· Mike Rudd (Spectrum)

· Mike McClellan (Singer, songwriter)

· Doug Gallacher (Ayers Rock and Jazz Session musician)

· Tony Esterman

· Rod Coe (Country Radio, Freshwater).

Other contributors included:

· Bill Putt (Spectrum)

· Tony Ansell (jazz keyboards wiz)

· Tim Gaze (Taman Shud and Kahvas Jute)

· Mike Perjanik (synthesiser)

Together they formed Patch which recorded this album in 1973 on the prestigious progressive label Harvest SHVL612. This concept album was an interpretation of the four elements of the zodiac resulting in some stunning, innovative progressive rock. This album features stunning guitar solos and atmospheric keyboard and synthesiser passages. A truly great progressive album.

CONDITION

Cover – Looks great – excellent.

Vinyl – Light hairline on side 2. Plays really well with only occasional crackles. A strong VG+.

In conclusion a must have Australian progressive gem from this obscure short lived band which recorded this remarkable album on the prestigious Harvest label.
