Description

PARLIAMENT - 'OSMIUM.'  UK original LP on Invictus... very, very rare!
Fantastic psychedelic+funk+rock debut from George Clinton, Eddie Hazel, Ruth Copeland and the Parliament/Funkadelic crew.

Along with Funkadelic's first couple of LP's on Pye, this is the very beginnings of Funk! Sounds like Jimi Hendrix mixed up with James Brown. Incredible stuff, and SUPER RARE as an Ex++ UK pressing. Very, very hard to find. Not at all like the later Parliament/Funkadelic stuff. This is much more 'garagey' if there's such a word. Very raw, psychedelic guitar and funky drumming. Beautiful copy. One of the rarest UK pressings of any psych group.

Sorry the pics are not so good - my camera is on its way out.

Original UK LP release on the BLUE 'INVICTUS' labels. Original inner bag.
An essential and influential psych/funk record.

Any questions please email...

I have no need to use the words MEGA, ULTRA, or c**p on about how many of these LPs got trashed at parties. I try to avoid exhaustive usage of exclamation marks in my honest descriptions and I also avoid the over-use of CAPITAL letters (unless they are used for relevant emphasis to my auction description) and I do not wish to shout at my buyers. I know that you know about the records you wish to purchase. One other thing - I do not sell items which have had the opening edges of the cover trimmed by a guillotine or blade to make the covers appear in better condition. Some other sellers do this as a regular practice, and it's just not on.
