Description
Up for auction is an out of print rare split 7" with The Wrens / Park Ave. titled "Split Single" as released by Saddle Creek/Lumberjack (who ran a d.i.y. punk record distribition house and record label) in 1997. This is catalog LBJ-14 for those of you keeping score.
The Wrens songs are: "Fireworks" and "James, I Wanna".
The Park Ave. songs are: "Cloak and Dagger" and "Wax Museum".
Both of these bands were pretty decent but were definitely slept on at the time. While both groups respectively contributed solid songs for this release, it was the shortly lived Park Ave. from that has received posthumous praise due in part to their members forming highly successful groups. Jamie Williams and Neely Jenkins formed indie faves Tilly and The Wall,; Clark Baechle went onto tear up both d.i.y. punk clubs, basements and eventually arenas in the dance/new new wave group The Faint, and Conor Oberst in Bright Eyes.
The 7" vinyl is in top Near Mint condition with no scratches. It looks, sounds and plays great! The 7" also comes with the original Saddle Creek Records Catalog/Mailorder info for summer '97.
Please see photos for more detail.
