THE MAYTALS
1964
PRINCE BUSTER RECORDS (JA)
This is a really good copy of what was one of those iconic 60s Ska records at the beginning of the Ska craze in Britain. One of the first recordings made by Toots and The Maytals with Prince Busters All Stars. This copy was bought over to the UK for me, way back when, by a Jamaican friend of mine.
Both sides are in really excellent condition and are all shiny and clean. There are a few blemishes in the pressing on side A (typically) but this in no way impacts on sound reproduction. Apart from that, only a few very light marks. The audio is really strong and incredibly bright.
Labels are a bit grubby but still very clear. The record does not have it’s original centre. This is why I’ve graded it as VG+ overall, not EX.
This is a great copy which sounds fantastic.
