This original 1965 US Fania Records Gold label variation was released with a laminated front cover. Subsequent releases are not in a laminated cover.

Early Fania work from Pacheco -- one of his first few records on timbales, and a real corker of a set that moved strongly away from the charanga age! The tracks are mostly in montuno and guajira rhythms -- grooving with lots of tight percussion, hard piano, and brassy horn finishes over the top. Monguito and Chivirico Davila sing on most cuts, and titles include "Ven Y Ven", "Que Humanidad", "La Mujer Del Peso", "El Diablo", "Salsa", "Guajira Y Camara", and "Acere Cipriano".
