Description

Excellent copy of the hard to find 1968 stereo (no mono released) original garage psychedelic LP “Orphan Egg” (Carole CARS 8004). The band was made up of Jim Bates (vocal), George C. Brix (drums), Pat Gallagher (guitar), Dave Monley (keyboard) and Barry (Larry) Smith (bass).

The twelve tracks include some killer fuzz guitar. Wait until you hear the incredible cover of “Bird Dog”, the old Everly Brothers hit.

The rest of the tracklist is: Falling/That’s The Way Love Is/Mourning-Electra/It’s Wrong/Ain’t That Lovin’ You Baby/Look At Me/Deep In The Heart Of Nebraska/Don’t Go To Him/Circumstance/Unusual State Of Mind/Rock Me Baby.

The glossy LP looks near mint. It does play with some light surface noise but it is not at all overwhelming. The cover is also in excellent condition with no splits, tears or writing. There are two small cutout holes and a crease on one corner, none of which detracts from the graphics or liner notes. The labels are near mint.

NO reserve. I ship worldwide and will combine winning bids to save on postage. In the US, the winning bidder pays choice of media mail ($2.85) or priority shipping (based on ZIP code). Good luck!
