A grand boxed set, released by Rca to celebrate the spectacular sound of the Philadelphia Orchestra.  (Fact is, at the time, many throughout the music world felt the Philadelphia was the finest orchestral instrument in the world.)

Here, French music is the focus, offering us Ormandy reads of LA VALSE, BOLERO, CLAIR DE LUNE, ESCALES, PAVAN FOR A DEAD PRINCESS, SORCERER’S APPRENTICE, DANSE MACABRE, LA MER, ORPHEUS IN HADES, and DAPHNIS AND CHLOE, among others.

Shipping and handling is $5 for up to 5 LPs shipped within the States. Internationally, $15 via airmail for the first LP, $3 each thereafter. (Canada is half that.) Boxes over 4 lbs., add another $6, because First Class is no longer available at that weight, just Priority Mail. Note, too, boxed sets of LPs require more postage.
