RIVERSIDE RLP-351 "EXPLORATIONS:  BILL EVANS TRIO" 

  Original Pressing BILL EVANS TRIO LP  on Riverside Label w/  Deep Groove

This auction is for an original, first pressing, mono, silver on blue, mike with reel logo label, Riverside Records, 1961 release of "EXPLORATIONS" RLP-351, by the BILL EVANS TRIO, complete with deep grooved label.  The original jacket is made of the older "heavier" cardboard.  His trio features: BILL EVANS - piano; SCOTT LA FARO - bass; and PAUL MOTIAN - drums.

The LP is not play graded but visually I would rate it a NM based on Goldmine standards: Disc has retained nearly all of its original luster and looks nearly pristine and beautiful.  There are practically no visible scratches even from sliding in and out of jacket.  Minimal spindle marks.  The original jacket looks nice, free of any writing, marks, or dings, except the remnants of light stain when held in oblique light (near left shoulder).  No ringwear.  The edges show some light wear but no seam splits.  Very light wear to corners with mild ding on lower right.  Back cover is also in great shape, free of  marks, or dings except a red check mark next to "SIDE 1".  Record ships with non-original inner sleeve (it might be original but I'm not confident to say it is).  No reserve!
