Hold On To What You Got/Dub/Upside Down/Dub - Michael Prophet - Orig.Early 80's Jamaican SOUND SYSTEM DUBPLATE for 'ARROWS THE AMBASSADOR' (10")

Classic early 80's Sound-System anthems - DUBPLATE STYLE! for 'Arrows The Ambassador' hailing from Eastern Kingston. NO SOUNd-NAME CALLED so they dubs can be played anywhere, anytime by anyone.

Track 1 - Hold On To What You Got - Michael Prophet Plays G+/VG- (even better with distilled water sprayed on surface whilst playing). (No jumping or sticking to acetate). (WICKED DUBPLATE MIX)

Track 2- Dub - plays VG- & better with distilled water (No jumping or sticking to acetate). (TUFF DUBPLATE MIX).

Track 3 - Upside Down - Michael Prophet - Starts G/G- improving to G+/VG-. Does not jump or stick.

Track 4 - Dub - with Accapella horns to intro - plays G+/VG- & better with distilled water sprayed on surface whilst playing. No jumping or sticking.

Original Jamaican Sound-System Dubplate from one of Jamaica's foundation Sound-System, operating from the 60's, heavy like lead with exclusive King Tubby dubs in the 70's & at the forefront of dancehall in the 80's & 90's.

N.B NO SOUND-NAME IS CALLED.

GRADING:
MINT = unplayed ex-shop stock.
EX = almost mint except for possible light usage,or marking on label.No marks on vinyl.
VG = minimal marks,no reduction in sound quality at all.
VG- =very clean sound quality,but marks to vinyl and possible light scratches.(this is by far the most common condition of my records and proves wholly satisfactory to customers).
G+/VG- = more than acceptable playing condition,label likely to be worn or marked.
G+ = noisy-but music still appreciable.
G/G- = rough condition,noisy,could be scratched or have hiss but of great interest for historical content.

OTHER ABBREVIATIONS USED;
BLANK = original first pressing of tune given to sound system operators to play before the record was given a label and made available in the shops for the general public.
LD = label damage.
CD = Cover Damage(applicable to LP’s).

Please note: most records i sell are ex sound system copies and often have sound man markings on the labels.
