This is the early original thick, heavy, vinyl lp on turquoise and silver CAPITOL label #T-288, it is a U.S. pressing called: RITUAL OF THE SAVAGE. featuring LES BAXTER & HIS ORCHESTRA. There are many exotic tunes like : BUSY PORT / JUNGLE FLOWER / STONE GOD / etc. I've been a collector for years, when I unearth these early originals they are never in very good condition, so it gives me pleasure to be able to offer this one in such great condition, cover is thick cardboard with only a hint of wear and browning. seams and spine have NO splits or flaking, spine print is dark and detailed, WILLIAM GEORGE artwork on front is bright with NO fading, stains, ring wear, etc. Also NO bent or pushed in corners, cut outs, writing, stickers, etc. The lp is beautiful, labels are near pristine, NO spindle marks, stains, fading, stickers, writing, etc. Silver print is detailed, both labels look much better in person than my photos, they are both the same shade of turquoise, both playing surfaces have a deep glossy shine, NO scratches, groove wear, defects, warps, sleeve stains, etc. I noticed only one small extremely light surface scuff on the beginning of one side, and another on the other side center, both do not affect play, this lp sounds like a cd. The matrix numbers are stamped in trail off. I listened to excerpts, they sounded clean and clear with NO distortion, background noise, tics, pops, etc, it would be mint if not for the 2 very light surface scuffs. these durable, rugged, original heavy vinyl lps sound great and last forever.
