Description

Highway Of Blues LP - "STICKS" McGHEE/JOHN LEE HOOKER (Audio Lab AL 1520) mono

Original 1959 mono 'split' LP. Side 1 features 6 McGHEE tracks, side 2 is 6 tracks of HOOKER greatness. Audio Lab was a shortlived King Records budget label & these early '50s recordings were unreleased on LP until this release.  "STICK's" tracks include: "Whiskey, Women And Loaded Dice," "Sad, Bad, Glad," "Dealin' From The Bottom," other jump blues winners. JOHN LEE tracks include: "Nightmare Blues," "Moaning Blues," "Devil's Jump," more prime HOOKER country blues genius, all killers. A hard-to-find album & this one is in nice condition, plays well. Certainly a 'must have' for any/all 1950s blues/HOOKER fans/collectors.                                                                                                                                Winning bidder, please do not send payment until you receive my invoice - shipping charges reflected by ebay are usually not accurate.

Disc = looks EX- to EX, plays EX or better/Cover = slight ring wear; small writing on front (looks like someone started to write their name - Geo - and then thought better of it); top seam split, all the way across; slight bottom edge wear; 2" lite spine split, middle; small corner crease, bottom left/Labels = some lite spindle marks around center hole

My grading is very strict & guaranteed. I use: NM/EX/VG and +/- variables. I've been collecting/dealing vinyl for almost 40 years. Bid with confidence. Also, please note - I do not gouge on postage/shipping charges - shipping costs will be approximately what the post office charges me, give or take a bit. If I overestimate the cost, I will refund you.
