I just recently had this lp posted on ebay, when the winning bidder received it, he played the lp, then emailed me to tell me that he was really hoping for a Near Mint copy, because of my very good standings, he was hoping that it would have been better than described. he told me the cover is very nice, and the lp played just like I described, he said he was not disputing the way the record played and sounded, just the way it looks. . None the less, I am glad I could make it available again to all those who lost out the first time, this time you are hearing it from 2 collectors that it plays great, myself and winning bidder. Heck, if the lp were near mint, I would want more like $6,000. thats what Good Rockin Tonight got for this lp in one of their auctions. And in my older Goldmine book they say a near mint copy is impossible to find and one in prisitne condition would sell for $10,000. Here is my original auction, Good luck! This is an original ' 56 thick, heavy vinyl deep groove U.S. lp on maroon and silver CORAL label #CRL-57080, called: JOHNNY BURNETTE AND THE ROCK N' ROLL TRIO. There are 12 tunes: HONEY HUSH / LONESOME TRAIN / SWEET LOVE ON MY MIND / ROCK BILLY BOOGIE / LONESOME TEARS IN MY EYES / ALL BY MYSELF / THE TRAIN KEPT A-ROLLIN / I JUST FOUND OUT / YOUR BABY BLUE EYES / CHAINS OF LOVE / I LOVE YOU SO / DRINKING WINE, SPO-DEE-O-DEE . Cover is made of thick cardboard, it has terrific front photo, and grapics that would look wonderful in a frame. Spine is strong with no splits, flaking, etc, and spine print is dark and detailed with no problems, on back and front right corners of cover is printed in USA. Bottom seam is strong with only a small right corner split. Top seam is half split. Front has only light wear, and a very small faint browning area bottom left corner, no other stains, fading, stickers, writing, etc. The back has light wear and browning, photos and liner notes are perfect. Also no bent or pushed in corners, cut outs, etc. The lp has numbers machine stamped in trail off, they are: MG 5032T1 / MG 5033T2. Labels look great with sharp silver print, I noticed only a tiny bit of wear near spindle holes. No fading, stains, stickers, writing, etc. Playing surfaces are very glossy with no dulling groove wear, defects, warps, or scratches you can feel. Under bright light I noticed many light scuffs that do not affect play. I played the entire lp, every track sounded clean and clear with NO distortion, skips, or annoying background noise. I played this lp on my very good quality portable player, it sounded absolutely great. I heard only a soft occasional background ticking just here and there. These early durable, rugged original U.S. lps sound gorgeous. CONDITION: COVER VG+ / LP VG+ . It is hard to believe that this lp came out in ' 56 when I was 5 years old, these rock n roll tunes sound better than what you hear on the radio today, they really stand the test of time.
