This is an original '30s thick, heavy, U.S. 78 rpm on blue and gold VOCALION label #4029, tunes are: BACK IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD & WHEN A WOMAN LOVES A MAN. by BILLIE HOLIDAY & her Orchestra, numbers stamped in trail off are 22283 1-4, other side 22284 2-3. This early original 10" has near pristine labels with only one spindle mark on one side both sides have bright gold print, Playing surfaces have a very glossy shine with No groove wear, scratches, defects, warps, etc. they would be in the same beautiful condition as the other Billie Holiday 78s if not for a 1" chip on the outside edge of one side with 3 light cracks around the same area. also on one side only, they do not go through to the other side. I played both sides from the very beginning to the end, they sounded wonderful, these durable rugged 78 rpm Vocalions play loud with a quiet background , music and vocals sound clean and clear with NO distortion or annoying background noise, ticking, popping, skips, etc. CONDITION: VG+ . I am including an original thick paper Brunswick Sleeve in clean strong condition. These sleeves have NO tears, folds, brittleness, etc. These original sleeves are getting hard to find in this condition.
