Description

Two, previously unreleased on vinyl, Virus dubs by the mighty Optical.

(A side) Optical - Sci-Fi Step Tech
(B side) Optical - Void

This is a near-mint-one-off-special vinyl 12" from a collector. This is not a dubplate/acetate and hence will last as long as regular vinyl.

I do not know the original source of the tracks i.e. if they were from DAT, I strongly suspect not, however they still sound reasonably clear with no surface noise like a dubplate. This uncertainty is reflected in the starting price.

All I know from the original owner is that they were mastered before being cut onto this vinyl and pre-date the 20 years of Optical Vol.2 LP released in 2016. Sci-Fi Step Tech is slightly shorter than on the 20 Years LP version. I would say they sound somewhere in between the quality of a dubplate and the restored versions featured on the 20 Years LP.

I would have graded this as mint, however, since I have had to play it once in order to establish the audio quality, I have cautiously graded it as near mint. It still looks brand new and unplayed though.
