Description
This is an Operation Ivy compilation LP, called The Rare Shit. The back of the jacket lists the different releases contained within. It is the version on orange vinyl. I’ve given it a good vacuum clean and there’s still a pretty consistent pop and crackle throughout the first 2-3 songs on side A, and then it settles down some. But it doesn’t really overtake the music for me in most instances. Side B is less crackle, but it’s consistent for most of the side. However, side B is all from the same source so the music is more consistent and the pops are noticed less. And it still doesn’t overtake the music for me. But, it is a boot of other boots after all so, a MOFI pressing it’s not. But if you’re trying to get the music, it’s there. I’m listening to the Isocracy cover as I’m typing this and it rips. The jacket has some pretty good wear around the edges, but the meat of it, both front and back, is pretty presentable. There’s no big tears, rips, old price sticker peels, writing or other junk. Just some creasing and wear around the edges. From any sort of distance, it’s deceptively smooth looking. It’s a cool piece. I’m a lifelong fan and hold them so dearly, and I love the unreleased stuff but, it’s time for someone else to mind this mine. Thanks. ✌🏽
