It has been cited as one of the most important albums of the ska punk genre. Energy, consisting of 19 tracks, was released in 1989 only on Vinyl and Cassette.

In 2006, the album was ranked as the highest rated punk album of 1989 and 6th highest rated ever on Sputnikmusic.
