OLD TIME RADIO (OTR) TRANSCRIPTIONS- 11 SHOWS
Up for Auction are 8 transcription records of 11 Old Time Radio shows (15 and 30 minute shows) broadcast in the late 1940's. Each transcription record is either 15 minutes (reverse side is blank) or 30 minutes (2 sided).
Important Fact: While all discs are in very good to excellent shape (no flaking or other imperfections), 1 disc has two half shows, 1 disc has 30 minutes of an hour show and 6 shows weren't commercially recorded. Because of this, the auction will start at $50 instead of $90. All shows are either 15 or 30 minutes.
The shows are:
Crime Club- 06/26/47- Death Never Doubles- Trouble ensues when the mob mistake a lawyer for their old boss. WOR/ Mutual Show- 30 Minutes
Hop Harrigan- No Date- Based on the popular All-American comics star, Hop Harrigan is "America's Ace of the Airwaves," and he gets a lot of flying time fighting evil, and as the war developed, he was in the thick of the real battles that were raging overseas. 15 Minutes - Not Commercially Recorded.
Stan Kenton Show- No Date. A popular swing music show with Stan and his orchestra- 15 Minutes- Not Commercially Recorded. Slight Edge damage not affecting the disc.
Russ Morgan Show- No Date. A Big Band Show from the 1940’s. 15 Minutes. Not Commercially Recorded.
Champion- No Date. A kids show about Gene Autry’s horse. 15 Minutes. Not Commercially Recorded.
The Sealed Book- Pgm. 25- 11-11-45- Death Laughs Last- Part 1 Only- 15 Minutes.
The Sealed Book- Pgm. 26- 11-18-45- You Only Die Once- Part 1 Only- 15 Minutes.
Hour of Charm- Pgm. 135- AFRS Disc- 30 Minutes.
Supper Club- Pgm. 548- AFRS Disc- 30 Minutes.
Crimes of Carelessness- 03-09-47- Pgm. 19- 1917 Pittsburgh Fire- 15 Minutes. Not Commercially Recorded. Helen Hall- 03-25-47- 15 Minutes. Not Commercially Recorded.These 16" transcription records will only play on a transcription turntables with a 9" free arm. All discs are in Very Good condition. The paper sleeves are in very good condition. I will ship these records in sturdy packing by USPS media mail.
