Description

3x Louis Armstrong early 78RPM records including early Decca 1938 and First Parlophone 1929/1930.

These look in fairly good condition to me with just light dust and the odd fingerprint. No major scratches that would interfere with playback that I could notice. All shown in flash photographs below. One of these is an Early Decca 1938 F.7056 As long as you live(you'll be dead if you die and when the saints go marching in (b side). Parlophone R. 448 West End Blues and R 2829 struttin' with some barbecue. Nothing special to note about the plain brown sleeves.

Also includes the Louis Armstrong's Hot Five (A side) : Eddie Lang's Orchestra (B side)
WEST END BLUES (Oliver) : FREEZE AN' MELT (Fields - McHugh)
(Very rare 78 rpm Original Parlophone R448). I believe this to be the first Parlophone record?

Information I found out about this follows: Beginning in about 1929 or 1930, Parlophone started a series of American jazz records on their "Rhythm Style Series". Edgar Jackson was the director of this series, which was issued within the existing R- series (the first issue was R-448). Culled from the American OKeh label, artists like Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke, Frank Trumbauer, Duke Ellington, Miff Mole, and other major artists who recorded for OKeh. These records were usually "split-coupled" (the top and bottom side of each record was usually by different artists and did not correspond with the original American coupling).
