Before Oingo Boingo was signed back in the very early eighties, the band had 130 demo EP's printed up to hand out to record companies. The covers were hand-painted by members of the band and hand-numbered.
This is one of those 130 original records! It is marked #50 out of 130 in red ink on the bottom right corner of the back cover. The front cover is hand-painted (meaning every one of the 130 records are unique!) and the back is stamped "Bounce to the Boingo beat, Play this record, Sign this group, Don't wait!". The tracks are Only a Lad, I'm so Bad, Ain't This the Life, and Forbidden Zone.
The vinyl is in excellent condition and has no scratches!
Even though this record is 25 years old, the cover is in excellent condition. The record is quite playable; the lyric sheet is included and also in great condition. I've had this record in my personal Boingo collection for nine years; I bought it in 1995 through eBay and have rarely taken it out of its plastic cover.
This is truly the rarest and most coveted Oingo Boingo record; not even many (if any?) of the band members have their own copies. This demo EP pops up so painfully rarely that you really don't want to miss out on this opportunity.
